Vitter Helps Save Road Home Funds

Good news! Last night I helped save $400 Million in Road Home funds. The House, with Melancons support, removed $400 Million in vital funds from the Road Home program, while at the same time including over $23 BILLION in additional spending. I was able to remove the $400 Million Road Home cut Melancon voted for AND I was able to get the 23 Billion in extra spending Melancon and Pelosi stuck in the bill removed as well. These Road Home funds are also used to assist victims of toxic Chinese Drywall. Eliminating this funding was a terrible mistake, but I’m pleased we got it reinstated.
