Qualifying Day
July 8, 2010
What a great day traveling the state and visiting with supporters! I qualified for re-election in Baton Rouge in the morning and then immediately went out to meet with folks around the state. Wendy and I made stops in Lafayette, Alexandria, Shreveport and finished up in Monroe last night. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all of your support, your encouragement, your prayers, and your amazingly generous spirit.

Wendy and I had a very enthusiastic rally in Lafayette after qualifying today. A lot of our supporters joined us and are enthusiastic about keeping up the fight against Obama’s liberal agenda.

July 6, 2010
After a busy weekend of fireworks, festivals and 4th of July celebrations, I was able to spend some quality time with my family today. Tomorrow I’ll be meeting with women business leaders in Baton Rouge about a number of federal and local issues as well as several other meetings to hear from Louisianians.

What an incredible day of events, from the Mandeville Seafood Fest to the Houma Independence Day Celebration, and capped off with a patriotic display of fireworks at Lafreniere Park in Metairie. Thanks to Dolph Federico, Lee Shaffers, all my volunteers, and everyone who helped make this day possible. Special thanks to Captain Peter Ernst and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
