Thank you.
Your help, support and continued recruitment of new donors and grassroots activists helped us raise over $1.2 million these last three months. We currently have over $4.5 million cash on hand, and we could not have done it without your commitment to our cause.
As you know, there’s an enormous amount at stake in this race for the U.S. Senate. My record and Charlie Melancon’s show a stark contrast — he endorsed President Obama and votes with Obama 84% of the time.
I strongly opposed the Wall Street bailouts, the Stimulus and the Obama budget that triples our national debt, while Melancon supports these Obama priorities and believes he and other Members of Congress should be exempt from the government-run health care plan.
With your help, we’ll keep pushing toward victory this November and make sure Obama doesn’t get another ally like Charlie Melancon in the U.S. Senate, and we’ll keep fighting this terrible government-run health care bill.
If you haven’t already, please join our team and sign up for email updates, join us as a volunteer or on Twitter and Facebook.
You and I know that President Obama, Charlie Melancon, and their liberal allies will continue to be on the attack doing everything they can to force their liberal agenda on the people of Louisiana. But your strong support these last three will help us fight them.
Thanks again for your dedication to our cause – I couldn’t have made it this far without you. Please help spread our message by joining our team today.
Your friend,
David Vitter
Comments OffOpen the Government Health Care Discussions
January 7, 2010
President Obama, Speaker Pelosi and the liberal Washington establishment continue secret, closed-door talks as they try to pass their government run health care bill, despite President Obama’s numerous campaign promises to end these secretive practices.
These discussions concerning government-run health care will shape the future of our country, and Americans deserve to be involved in the conversation. Candidate Obama seemed dedicated to making this a reality before taking office, but unfortunately, President Obama seems to have forgotten these promises.
The American public deserves transparency in the processes of their government. I hope you’ll stand with me today by signing my petition to open these talks and stop government run health care by following this link.
